I never got to recap seeing the Foo Fighters in Sydney last week so here it is. We got to the venue not as early as I had hoped so I missed most of Tenacious D and did not get a very good spot for the Foo Fighters either. I was expecting there to be a big push that would take me a little closer to the front (as there usually is when the music begins) but nothing. I went no where. Everyone around me was huge so I couldn’t see squat. I shoved my way closer to the runway in the middle so I could at least see the screen and Dave Grohl whenever he would run up and down it but I was no where near the stage.
I filmed a lot of footage and when I was watching it back in the car I was seeing things I never saw before. That’s how bad my view was. But the music was amazing. I liked that there were no fancy lights or effects, it was just a rock show. I liked that I got to hear my favourite songs live for the first time. I liked that it didn’t rain and I like that they played for 3 hours.
I shouldn’t really complain. I am so thankful and so happy that I got to see them live at all.
